![]() Instead, we will probably see the following four models: the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. A recent TrendForce report used these names to highlight expected iPhone 15 features, so keeping the same naming conventions seems like a real possibility. We have more on why the iPhone 15 mini is unlikely to return this fall. That simplified the choice: whether you wanted to go Pro or not, you could get either a 6.1- or 6.7-inch screen. iPhone 15 modelsįor its 2022 releases, Apple killed the iPhone mini model, and introduced the iPhone 14 Plus in its place. If you miss this window you could lose as much as 65% of the value. According to price comparison site SellCell, the best time to sell your old iPhone is between August 19 and August 26. If you’re thinking of trading in your old iPhone before the iPhone 15 debuts, you might be able to maximize how much you get back. There are other factors to consider too though, like the limited changes anticipated for the standard models. This may be why analyst Ming-Chi Kuo's forecast for the iPhone 15's sales is lower than expected. Hopefully, the retail price won't go up quite that high, but it feels like an increase of some kind is inevitable, especially with Bloomberg also reporting that Apple is mulling over a price hike for the iPhone 15 models. It's not clear if this price hike will apply to the U.K., Australia or other regions.Īn additional take claims we could see the price for Apple to build an iPhone 15 price go up by at least 12% from last year, which would logically lead to Apple passing some of the additional cost to consumers. If the $100 figure is accurate, the iPhone 15 Pro would top $1,000, while the iPhone 15 Pro Max would cost as much as a $1,199 Galaxy S23 Ultra. This could be down to more advanced features coming to the next-gen iPhone, which is why analyst Jeff Pu believes an iPhone 15 Pro price increase is likely. One claims that we could be l ooking at an increase of $100, while a more recent rumor claims that the price could rise by as much as $200. ![]() missed out on in 2022.Īs it happens price hikes have already been tipped for the iPhone 15 Pro. We would expect something similar this time around, but it’s entirely possible that the iPhone 15 will see the price rise that the U.S. That means that prices currently go from $799 / £849 / AU$1,399 for the 128GB entry-level iPhone 14 all the way up to $1,599 / £1,749 / AU$2,769 for the 1TB iPhone 14 Pro Max. Other regions saw a substantial increase, but in the U.S., the only change in pricing was the elimination of the cheapest ‘mini’ model. With the iPhone 14, there was strong speculation that we would see a 15% price increase, but this turned out to be incorrect - at least if you lived in the United States. If accurate, that means iPhone 15 preorders would begin two days later on September 15, with actual sales lining up with the previously rumored September 22 date. An earlier 9to5Mac report cited sources that also predict the iPhone 15 launch event for September 13. ![]()

That ends today, as the Steam Spring Sale has launched with the first official Steam Deck savings - a 10% cut across the range - alongside the more expected dealsplosion of discounted games. The old way to do sales isn't done anymore because it's not effective in this day and age.Dodgy reseller listings aside, the Steam Deck has spent its entire life thus far without even a temporary price drop. Some games no longer sell 75% off, but reduce their base price and put a 50% off discount, which puts the game at the same price range as before, but without an outrageous 'DIRT CHEAP' tag on it, maintaining the perception of value (Thing that got very damaged due to the older Steam sales discounts). And pricing, many old 'good deals' are still there but with a different shape. Customers behaviour also shaped the way publishers now approach to sales. Visibility shifted channels and now publishers can make themselves known through Youtube or Twitch without deeply discounting their game at a store. Steam isn't the only digital store anymore You can be on the front page somewhere any day of the year. I would say it is more of an industry adaptation to online sales over time - when Steam first became popular, publishers were still in the bricks and mortar retail mode of expecting a games sales to drop off massively after a couple of months, and the only way to get it on shelves after that was discounting it heavily, because shelf space is limited so retailers would need much more enticement to continue stocking your game, especially once it is out of the top 40 (or whatever). What used to be still lingers in the mind, but there is no going back as the whole concept of digital gaming has led to irreversible changes in both the industry and with gamers themselves who are willing to throw money at their hobby. ![]() It's hard for some people who have been with Steam since its early days to accept this transition. Like I said in my last post, you need to get more perspective on just how difficult the games of the 16-bit era actually were and why Freedom Planet isn't even the most challenging platformer of its kind. Don't come at my skill as a gamer because I didn't like something you do. ![]() I beat the game nearly two years ago now and didn't really enjoy the latter parts of the game. That's it.Īlso, good for you, you beat the game and liked it, but I didn't, lmao. Freedom Planet does not have good boss/level design in the latter half of the game imo. Freedom Planet, to me, attempted that and succeeded in making the boss harder, sure, but not in a way that feels rewarding to fight. Shovel Knight, for example, is a difficulty that's good to me, involving progression as the game goes on. Gunstar Heroes is a difficulty that's fine to me, there's a difference between bullshit and challenging and Freedom Planet definitely leans towards the former. No, Freedom Planet is definitely worse designed that at least every 16-bit Sonic game. So as far as I'm concerned Freedom Planet has a perfect level of difficulty and I say this as someone who managed to beat Freedom Planet at launch before the difficulty of late game bosses was toned down in a patch. Where as in the old days you had to start from the beginning of the game again once you ran out of a very finite supply of lives and continue. If anything Freedom Planet is more merciful then it's 16-bit inspiration since you have unlimited continues and can always start again from the last checkpoint. People today rave about the difficulty of Dark Souls and how unforgiving that game is but not so long ago nearly all games of the 16-bit era were just as challenging if not harder. You see, a well-designed boss and/or level should kick your ass for weeks before you managed to overcome it. ![]() Not just Sonic the Hedgehog but also games like Rocket Knight Adventures and Gunstar Heroes. No offense but it sounds to me like you need to go back to the 16-bit era and play more of the games that inspired Freedom Planet. So I'd just personally say to wait for FP2 but you've probably already bought it now, RIP Levels take too long, bosses actually become bullshit towards the end of the game and the level design isn't particularly good by the end. The thing is FP1 starts off well, but it gets considerably worse as time goes on. ![]() ![]() ![]() Additionally, there’s debate around whether or not the colorful packaging and marketing entice consumers to overload on too many of the same vitamins (given some products are formulated with the same nutrients). There's no support for directly sharing a file with another IDrive user, however, just the ability to generate and copy a URL to the file.
